Despite embracing the controversial nature of many of the posts here, I don’t want to name names here, and would prefer that any comments be of a more generic nature.

That said… have you ever found that a particular blogger just pisses you off, even though you’ve never met them, haven’t interacted with them personally, and have no concrete reasons for your feelings?

There’s one medium-profile blogger whose every post sets me off. Even though they write in a niche of interest to me, I had to unsubscribe from their feed, because every one of their sentences just dripped with smugness [to my eyes]. Their blog literally made me angry.

My attempt at objectivity is that, if we generally accept that a blogger can be “friendly” then we should also be able to pick up on unfriendliness.

Am I nuts? Has this happened to anyone else?

    It's not just you. :) Happens to me ALL the time...I even get irritated at my favorite bloggers for similar reasons sometimes!

    What helps for ME is to realize that some people (including myself) aren't always good at conveying what we're feeling, and instead it comes off as something else to some eyes. The nature of the internet, I think.

    Speaking for myself, I know that sometimes things I say are phrased in a way that seem to mean one thing, when in actuality I meant something quite different.
    I get a lot of emails questioning my intent. hehehe

    Blogging, much like radio, is a difficult medium to effectively get our point across. We don't have our facial expressions to help convey meaning, and even radio can use voice inflections. All a blogger has are words, conveying anything beyond straight fact is difficult, especially when being sarcastic. I like to think I've been gifted with wording, but I also think that what I like to think is probably inaccurate according to others.
